Kerrang! Tour Sponsored By Relentless Energy Drink: New Found Glory + The Blackout + Letlive + While She Sleeps
The Kerrang! Tour Sponsored By Relentless Energy Drink brings you 10 nights of some of the finest punk rock from across the Atlantic in 2012!
Kerrang! regret to announce that Sum 41 have been forced to pull out of the tour. The rest of the line-up remains unaffected, with headliners New Found Glory joined on the tour by last-minute additions The Blackout stepping in for Sum 41, with letlive, one of the hottest rising acts on the international live circuit, and rising UK stars While She Sleeps.
Sum 41 Frontman Deryck Whibley has been suffering from a recurring back injury and will not be well enough to perform on the 11-date UK and Ireland tour. He said: "I feel really terrible about letting down the fans. I injured my back about eight months ago and the doctors are saying that I could be in a wheelchair. So, as much as I wanted to be able to do it, I’ve got to look at reality, and for the first time I’ve got to listen to somebody else and not just myself. We’re all really upset about this; we’ve had such a great relationship with our UK fans. We were really looking forward to this tour."
New Found Glory's live sound has been described as one of 'unfettered energy and passion expressed through distorted amps and hooky choruses'.
Emerging as part of the second wave of pop punk in the late 1990s, music critics consider the Floridian band as a key pioneer of the genre.

Welsh emo rockers The Blackout are known for their passionate and furious live shows. The youthful six-piece use double vocals and searing guitars to create a frenzied sound.

Post-hardcore rockers from L.A., California, letlive. have been turning heads left, right and centre with both their stunning live performances. Since their beginning in 2002, letlive. has been a band that is not easy to categorise. In fact, letlive. refuse to be constrained by the ideas of a "scene" – whether it is punk, metal, indie, rap. However, if push came to shove, you could describe them as a punk rock Run The Jewels, a more emotional Rage Against The Machine, and Public Enemy with more inclusive politics. “Our music is very left-leaning. It’s very clear I have a large disdain for the way a lot of systems are working and our society’s incapability to unravel," front man Jason Butler states.

While She Sleeps are a post-hardcore five-piece from Sheffield. Since the release of their mini-album, ‘The North Stands For Nothing’, in the summer of 2010, While She Sleeps have been on a trailblazing path that has seen them become one of the fastest rising bands on the UK hard rock and metal circuits for some years. From a sold out headline tour, their tent-swelling set at Sonisphere festival, venues on the prestigious Kerrang! tour having queues of people snaked around the block so that fans could get in to see Sleeps open the bill, to critical acclaim across the pages of Kerrang! Metal Hammer and Rock Sound and regular plays on Radio 1, Scuzz and Kerrang! TV, the Sheffield natives have rapidly and justifiably become one of the highest regarded rock bands in Britain.
