Childline Rocks 2010: The Enemy + Carl Barat + Reverend And The Makers
This event takes place at O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire, which has achieved Silver Status for disabled access from Attitude Is Everything.
From seemingly nowhere, in 2006 three very young musicians from Coventry emerged calling themselves The Enemy. Greeting the music scene with contempt and a two fingered salute to the trend setting elite, the band's competence to deliver stunning live performances has seen them share a stage with some of the biggest and greatest acts in the world including The Rolling Stones, The Sex Pistols, Oasis, The Manic Street Preachers, Ash, Paul Weller and the mighty Bon Jovi, spanning venues from their local Saturday sports club Folly Lane Football Club, where they performed one of their first ever gigs, to five performances at Wembley Stadium.
The Enemy have never really been in vogue, they've always been the underdog, until their debut album crashed into the the UK top 40 at Number 1 and went on to go double Platinum, becoming the soundtrack for a new disaffected generation. Fast forward to today and The Enemy have matured, humbled and ripened into something far more complete and purposeful and become a well established act.

The former Libertines and Dirty Pretty Things frontman/singer and lead guitarist has also released a solo album, as well as starring alongside Sadie Frost in the play 'Fool For Love' and narrating the 'The Rime Of The Modern Mariner' a film about the London Docklands.
Barat got his new group, The Jackals, together via Facebook after posting an advert for guitarists, drummers and bassists pulled in over 1000 applicants. Those recruited were Billy Tessio (Guitar), Adam Claxton (bass) and Jay Bone (drums).
As a member of the Libertines Barât released two albums, Up The Bracket (2002) and The Libertines (2004). His next band, Dirty Pretty Things, released Waterloo To Anywhere (2006) and Romance At Short Notice (2008), followed by a solo album, Carl Barât, in 2010 and his first book Threepenny Memoir – The Lives Of A Libertine in the same year.

Reverend And The Makers are the brainchild of Sheffield musician Jon McClure, who recorded the original RATM demos with members of the Arctic Monkeys and Bromheads Jacket. The group uses a combination of indie rock, electro and funk to complete their signature sound, which has earned them headline tours across the UK and numerous bouts of critical acclaim.
