From their humble beginnings as a myspace buzz band, Sheffield's finest indie upstarts, fronted by the cocky but ever clever Alex Turner, still hold the mantle for achieving the fastest selling debut album for a band in British history, even beating the likes of Oasis and the Beatles. Now only that, but all of their albums have reached the no.1 position on the UK album charts. Still looking good on the dancefloor, Alex's vocals and lyrics may have matured over the years, but they still continue to deliver their addictive brash guitar tunes with gritty yet witty lyrics.

Reared on a diet of pop culture and good music, Bloc Party met through the small ads of the music press to create a band who went on to make the headlines. After a short hiatus in 2013, Kele Okereke returned refreshed in 2015 with a new line-up: original guitarist Russell Lissack joined by new recruits Justin Harris (bass) and Louise Bartle (drums)
Ask them their influences, and they say they've been influenced by it all. Live, Bloc Party '...rip through new classics...like they've written them 20 minutes before the gig - the ferocity and adrenaline of youth shines through the angular rhythms and layers of effects.' (bbc.co.uk). They also play regular DJ slots up and down the country.

For a London girl who kick-started her career on the now almost forgotten social networking site myspace, Lily Allen soon became a sensation, emerging with her iconic debut No 1 single ‘Smile’. Her cheeky songs, down-to-earth lyrics and dramatic sense of fashion earned her a place at the top of the charts and has seen her climb her way out of Internet-based cultdom, into mainstream commercial success and critical acclaim.
Her 2006 debut album 'Alright, Still' combined pure pop with ska, reggae and hip hop influences and to date has sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide. 2009's follow-up 'It's Not Me, It's You' took in electropop, country and even jazz, scoring memorable hits including 'Not Fair' and the no.1 single 'The Fear'.
Allen then took a music hiatus, launching her own clothes shop and raising a family, before returning in 2014 with third album 'Sheezus', taking her music in a more R&B and urban direction. In 2017 she colloborated with Giggs on a new single 'Trigger Bang' with the announcement of a new album to follow in Summer 2018.
