Waterbeach Community Players

Based on a true life story this lovely bitter-sweet comedy drama by Robert Harling was made into a film in 1989 starring Dolly Parton. Now Steel Magnolias comes to the Waterbeach stage.

Filled with hilarious repartee and not a few acerbic but humorously revealing verbal collisions, the play moves towards tragedy whilst revealing the special quality this group of women have, making their characters truly touching, funny and marvellously amiable company in good times and bad.
