Sikander Pervez

Sikander Pervez transforms mundane objects and materials such as chairs, wood, castors and wheels into poetic visual forms by challenging or exaggerating their original function. His practice is also directed by a rigorous experimentation with materials and their inherent properties and potential. Sikander will be creating a brand new sculptural installation for his first solo exhibition since graduating from Staffordshire University in 2013.

Sikander was selected from New Art West Midlands 2014, the best of the graduates from West Midlands Universities for this significant development opportunity.
