The Crucible
Arthur Miller’s The Crucible, is a text inspired by true events in Salem, Massachusetts in 1662. When a collection of girls fell ill, complaining of hallucinations and seizures, hysteria ensued. This sudden wave of illness was attributed to the Devil and his cohorts and the small, rural Puritan community was ripped apart by accusations of witchcraft.
This tragic and classic Arthur Miller play will be directed by Uppingham School's Artistic Director; Clare Rayner and brought to life by Uppingham School students.
