Inspired by the great vocalists from the golden age of jazz, bandleader and singer Miss Rosie, assembled The Moonshyne Runners in the spring of 2016 with a mission to resurrect the spirit of swing. Playing a repertoire rooted in the music of the 1930s, this swinging sextet is guaranteed bring the bounce back to your steps. Featuring Miss Rosie, vocals, Sam Folkes, piano, Stephanie Legg, clarinet, Andrea Vergani, guitar, Ike Onwuagbu, bass and David West, drums. The band has played such prestige such as the Clore Ballroom of the Royal Festival Hall for the Vintage New Year’s Eve Party, at Ronnie Scott’s opening for Kai Hoffman and performed a live set on “Swingtime with Sizzlin’ Jim” on Hoxton Radio.
