Picture for The London Song Festival

The London Song Festival was founded in 2007 by the pianist Nigel Foster to promote the Song repertoire.

This year the 150th anniversaries of the birth of Claude Debussy and Frederick Delius will be celebrated alongside the centenary of the death of the Anglo-African composer Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and the 50th anniversery of the death of John Ireland.

Singers taking part include the internationally acclaimed Australian soprano Yvonne Kenny, eminent exponent of Song Roderick Williams, BBC New Generaton Artist Ruby Hughes, Canadian soprano Gillian Keith, and prize-winning young singers including Jonanthan McGovern, Maire Flavin and Anna Devin. The 2012 London Song Festival master-classes will be given by Simon Keenlyside.
