Lead singer for Manfred Mann, leader of The Blues Band, star of stage and screen and presenter of the BBC Radio 2 Blues programme for thirty two years; Paul Jones has been a household name since the 1960s. He is the voice of worldwide hits Do Wah Diddy Diddy, 5-4-3-2-1 and Pretty Flamingo and maintains a busy touring schedule as part of The Manfreds.
Joined by the Derek Nash Band; featured saxophone soloist in the Jools Holland Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, Paul presents an evening of rhythm and blues classics as well as some gems from the Manfred Mann and Blues Band back catalogues as well as some original material. For blues & jazz fans this is a night not to be missed.
Paul Jones
Actor and lead singer with first Manfred Mann in the 1960s and later the Blues Band. During his days at Oxford, Paul played blues with the late Brian Jones and could have become front man for The Rolling Stones - but somebody else took that job! We can only wonder how things might have turned out...
