Mark Beaumont @ Everything Good Goes, Tadcaster, Leeds & York
Please note: Info provided by the Event Organiser
On Sunday the 2nd of July 2017, Mark Beaumont set out on a journey to smash the existing world record for cycling around the world by attempting the cycle in just 80 days. Mark actually held the record back in 2008; but that took him 194 days which really puts the sheer scale of his new challenge into context.
Mark Beaumont set out to make this Victorian fiction a two wheeled reality. Having smashed the circumnavigation cycling World Record twice in his career, he now holds this 18,000 mile title in a time of 78 days and 14 hours, averaging 240 miles a day. Over the past decade Mark's epic documentaries have taken viewers to over 100 countries, into the Arctic, the high mountains and around the Commonwealth, also surviving capsize in the mid-Atlantic. Join Mark as he presents his talk to offer a fascinating insight into his career of adventure.
On March the 25th 2020, we have Mark coming to Everything Good Goes again, our cafe bar in Tadcaster for a talk on his experiences. This is sure to be a captivating evening at an intimate venue for which we have only 70 tickets available at 20 GBP each.
