Big Band Big Night Out
The Big Band "Big Night Out" is the innovation of band leaders Nathan Jones and Mo Squires. The evening will feature The Swing Birds, an all female Big Band inspired by Ivy Benson, and the dynamic Nathan Jones Allstars augmented by a full string section.
The programme will have something for everyone, and include everything from timeless big band classics to familiar contemporary tunes, some featuring the talented vocals of Kym Rose, Vic Clements, Terry Franks and Lauren Webb. An additional highlight of the evening will be a performance of the Artie Shaw Clarinet Concerto by the talented local clarinettist Vicki Watson.
We are pleased to be supporting the Mayor's charities at this event - The Goldenhar Family Support Group (UK) and the Prospect Hospice.
The Big Band Big Night Out will be just that - a BIG night out. Music, song and laughter - who could ask for more?
