Sister Act
Following on from their award-winning production of Singin' In The Rain, Abbey Players bring you Sister Act.
Based on the 1992 film Sister Act is the hilarious story of Disco Diva Deloris van Cartier who, after witnessing her gangster boyfriend Curtis commit a murder, ends up being 'hidden' in a convent.
Deloris, or Sister Mary Clarence as she is now called, inspires the nuns to discover their inner diva and breathes life and definitely soul into the convent and its Sisters.
With a rousing original score by Oscar winning composer Alan Menken (Beauty And The Beast, Little Shop Of Horrors to name but two) this fun, feelgood, family-friendly show is a story of unlikely friendships and the power of Sisterhood, and will certainly leave you feeling Fabulous!
