Deadly Nightcap

Murder and mystery abound in this ingenious play from the master of the genre Francis Durbridge, which has more than its fair share of blind alleys. Initially the play seems to follow a familiar pattern - a greedy husband plotting to kill his wife, disposing first of her brother.

Jack tries to convince Sarah that she is on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Enlisting the help of his girlfriend, he plans to murder Sarah while giving the impression that she has committed suicide, but Jack's plans are horribly thwarted.
