The Pirates Of Penzance
Glitter and Twisted Theatre Company shines a new light on Gilbert and Sullivan’s masterpiece. This quirky new production updates the musical to 1953, while remaining respectful to Gilbert’s witty dialogue and Sullivan’s sparkling score.
A bunch of giggly girls find themselves, unsupervised, on a pirate-infested beach. Will their father, Major General Stanley rescue them before they are carried off? Will the bumbling local police force defeat the pirates in time?
Packed with familiar tunes including A Policeman’s Lot and Poor Wand’ring One, the show is fun for the whole family and will have you laughing and humming all the way home.
