Messa Di Gloria
The Dingwall and District Choral Society make a welcome return to the Pavilion with their winter concert of Puccini's Messa di Gloria.
Written when Puccini was only eighteen, this musical mass is already full of the character and life that was to be a huge feature of the operas he is renowned for and was, indeed, his last liturgical work before embarking on an operatic career.
Also featured will be John Rutter's Sprig of Thyme, a blissfully peaceful collection of eleven folk-song settings.
Dingwall and District Choral Society are currently led by the dynamic young conductor John Thomson, and under his leadership they continue to produce performances that charm and delight audiences, particularly in the atmospheric surrounds of the Pavilion.
