Tutus & Beyond
Tutus & Beyond pays tribute to the purity of classical ballet, whilst also looking forward to contemporary ballet beyond the Tutu. This production will chart a journey of ballet from the late 19th century y into the 21st.
Classical ballet lovers are in for a treat with Pas de Quatre, the romantic classic created by Jules Perrot in 1845 for the four greatest ballerinas of the time. Lucile Grahn, Carlotta Grisi, Fanny Cerrito, and Marie Taglioni.
Jewels will follow this, a showcase for razor sharp classical technique from Sleeping Beauty.
In complete contrast, Sing Sing Sing, a Bob Fosse inspired piece and finally, the premiere of Fallen Angels, created for Ballet Ireland by Royal Ballet Dancer/Choreographer Ludovic Ondiviela, in April 2014. Fallen Angels, a ballet of today; beautiful, powerful and magical.
