Go Back For Murder - Crime Writers Event

Author David Mark will join a panel of crime writers. David’s novel, Dark Winter, has encountered huge national success, selling over 100,000 e-copies and becoming a Richard and Judy book club pick.

David spent more than 15 years as a journalist, including seven years as a crime reporter with The Yorkshire Post .His writing is heavily influenced by the court cases he covered; the defeatist and jaded police officers, the incompetent investigators. the inertia of the justice system and the sheer raw grief of those touched by savagery and tragedy.

David will be joined by award winning Martin Edwards and local crime writer Mel Sherratt. The Crime Writers Event is an opportunity to hear the country's leading crime writers talk about their profession and discuss their latest novels. The audience will be able to ask questions and engage in debate about the writers work.

The Crime Writers will also be discussing the master herself, Agatha Christie, looking at the way she uses characters, timing and red herrings to weave a story together.
