Hayley Johnson reprises the role of Angela in Geraldine Aron's brilliantly observed one-woman play.
Divorced by her husband of many years, middle-aged Angela Kennedy Lipsky is left alone, with only the family dog Axal for company, to mourn her marriage and learn how to live without her family.
Sometimes very depressed and ringing the local helpline, other times resolute and upbeat, Angela goes on holiday solo, rediscovers sex (and sex shops!), visits her doctor for random illnesses she never has and celebrates Christmas and birthdays by herself.
A brilliantly hilarious look at middle-aged loneliness and how to cope when the world you have built comes crashing down, Hayley Johnson returns following previous successful runs raising funds at Hyde Festival Theatre.
The play was also famously presented at the Apollo Shaftesbury, London in 2003 starring Dawn French.
