Andrew Bird

Watching The Young Ones with his brothers as an eight year old, at two in the morning on Comic Relief, he realised then that he wanted to be funny in some way. Relaxed and improvisatory, Andrew Bird is one of those rare comedians who makes friends with his audiences in an instant with his engaging mix of childhood stories and more recent anecdotes. Tony Burgess

Stand-up comedian and writer who has worked on various sitcoms such as the award winning BBC 3 comedy Ideal (where he also played Troy, a mad DJ who lived in the airing cupboard). He has been called ‘The Clown Prince of Manchester Scallies’. His barbed wit and daring approach keeps his audiences on their toes as he challenges them, whilst still managing to allure them into loving him.
