This concert comprises two pieces - Britten's "Sea Interludes" and Vaughan William's "A Sea Symphony".

The orchestral work "Sea Interludes" is a collection of four of the orchestral interludes from Britten's opera "Peter Grimes". The Choral and orchestral work "A Sea Symphony" is a setting of a number of Walt Whitman's poems and is a powerful work requiring a large orchestra and chorus.
