Face to Face Theatre Workshop

Face to Face Theatre Workshop presented by Solo Theatre in collaboration with Irrational Theatre.

A special Introductory workshop exploring the techniques of solo performance with Colin Watkeys.

Solo Theatre’s strength is its potential for making direct face to face contact with the audience and stimulating the collective imagination.

The workshop will introduce an approach to writing and performing which explores fundamentals of character and narrative looking closely at characters both real and imaginary and focusing upon what is essential about their lives and their stories.

It will also introduce ideas of narrative, structure, visual and physical aspects of performance which allow characters to tell their stories more effectively and make characters most striking.

Colin Watkeys is director of the Face to Face, now in its 4th year. He has worked with solo performers for the last thirty years producing and directing all of the solo theatre work of both Claire Dowie and the Late great Ken Campbell.
