South Tyneside Festival 2017 : Louisa Johnson, Jedward, 5 After Midnight, Matt Terry
A trio of X Factor stars is heading to the North East this summer for the third in this year’s South Tyneside Festival Summer Concerts series.
Louisa Johnson, Jedward and 5 After Midnight will play at Bents Park, South Shields on Sunday 23rd July.
The X Factor favourites will be joined by local act South Tyneside Samba Drum Club as they take to the stage for the open air concert this summer.
Crowned winner of X Factor 2015, Essex girl Louisa Johnson was the youngest ever contestant to win the competition, at the age of just 17. Music experts are already predicting Louisa could be as big or bigger than Leona Lewis.

Twins John and Edward Grimes shot to fame in 2009 when they appeared in the sixth series of The X Factor. Their debut single, Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby) featuring Vanilla Ice, was released in February 2009, entering the UK singles chart at number 2. Since then, they have had a number one album in Ireland, and represented their country in the 2011 Eurovision Song Content, coming eighth in the final.

5 After Midnight are Kieran Alleyne, Nathan Lewis and Jordan Lee, a boy band from Leicester, Brighton, and East London who were chosen by Louis Walsh to go through to the live finals on ITV's The X Factor. The trio originally wowed the judges with their smooth RnB vocals and fancy footwork when covering Drake’s One Dance.

Former Bromley waiter turned heartbreaker, Matt proved he's got the X Factor. Mentored by Nicole Scherzinger and championed at Boot Camp by Calvin Harris, Matt went on to sail through to the X Factor finals, eventually winning the contest in 2016, beating Finnish songstress Saara Aalto. He promptly signed a deal with Simon Cowell’s Syco label. After a previous stab at pop stardom in non-successful boyband Far Too Far ended in 2014, Matt decided to quit his day job as a waiter and pursue a solo career. Proof that the advice of "don't give up your day job" can sometimes be proved wrong.
