Sifaka

Sifaka is a 7-piece band from Leeds, setting stages alight with their fusion of Soul, Rock and African Blues. Following a string of UK Festivals (Live at Leeds, Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Bath International Music Festival, HowTheLightGetsIn) Sifaka's EP Launch was covered in the New York Times and named BBC Introducing's Gig of the Week.

Growing up on the music of Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, now, in 2016, they believe the spirit and sound of the blues is to be found in the continent it first came from - Africa. Sifaka have developed their own unique sound, taking them to the frontier of the blues!

They are looking forward to welcoming back Old Salopian Sam Wilson and his band, Sifaka, for an evening of music in the Maidment Auditorium.
