Roderick Williams has established himself as one of the great English Baritones of the current generation, performing as a soloist both in opera and on the concert hall stage, for example as guest soloist inthe 2014 Last Night of the Proms on BBC television.

He is truly one of the great sond recitalists currently performing in the UK and is in constant demand as a performer, whether in his beloved English song, or Lieder and other repertoire.

His partnershop with Susie Allan has led to many radio broadcasts for BBC Radio 3 and recitals in the UK and abroad. Their recital at Shrewsbury will be centered around Schubert's masterpiece of song-setting, Schwanengesang, with special guest actress Jenny Agutter of Call the Midwife and The Railway Children fame providing translations for the poetry.
