August Afternoon Jazz
Enjoy an evening of big band swing from this leading local outfit. Consisting on no less than seven saxophones, a four-piece rhythm section, plus vocalist, the Downsbeat Swing Band have a distinctive sound reminiscent of 40s and 50s swing bands. Alongside the music of Glen Miller, Duke Ellington, and Count Basie, expect some rock and Latin-American numbers and special vocal arrangements.
