McBusted

Scarborough Borough Council is delighted to announce that pop supergroup, McBusted, will take to the stage of Scarborough Open Air Theatre on Friday 27 June.

The recently formed Busted/McFly supergroup, made up of Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter, Harry Judd, James Bourne and Matt Willis, came together in November 2013 following the astonishing success of the brief reunion of the bands at the Royal Albert Hall on the occasion of McFly’s tenth anniversary concert. Fans were desperate for the guys to take the reunion to the next level and so the moniker McBusted was born. Cue internet explosion of excitement as the hashtag #mcbusted became the number 1 worldwide trend on Twitter.

And now, following today’s announcement, that same hashtag will send waves of excitement around Scarborough and further afield as news spreads of a summer date for McBusted at Europe’s largest open air theatre. Fans can expect a shamelessly nostalgic set full of everyone’s favourite Busted and McFly hits, with a few surprise gems thrown into the mix.
