Classical Evolution

Classical Evolution came into being as a 'Guerrilla Orchestra' staging pop-up classical music protests against cuts in music education and funding.

They have evolved into an organisation of professional musicians who educate and bring joy through classical music by approaching it in new and interesting ways.

The five-piece ensemble at to the Spa will be made up of members of the Royal Northern Sinfonia and Manchester Camerata.

This is a two-part event:

There will be a late afternoon workshop for ages 10 and over. (no upper limit)

There will be an evening concert of live classical favourites. The event will then be rounded off by an open jam session with anyone who wants to bring along an instrument and join in!
