The Darkness have announced plans to head out on a new tour this winter.
Ten years has now passed since The Darkness' rock-based masterpiece "Permission To Land" and its massive hit single "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" were dropped upon an unsuspecting public.
Deeply unfashionable at the time and sticking out like a sore thumb in the age of The Strokes et al, the sheer naked ambition of The Darkness, along with their huge choruses and confident stage show, drew disapproving glances from the 'cool' media but connected with fun-starved music lovers and gig-going audiences in an unprecedented manner, propelling The Darkness to the toppermost of the poppermost with a chart-obliterating album and sold out shows across the globe.
