Headliners

Yo La Tengo

Yo La Tengo appearing at this event

New York-based art-rock trio with their truly original sound on the Matador Records label. 'They are a pop band, but don't just write pop songs; they write what can only be described as yo la tengo songs. They are like a three-cornered atom harnessing its energy to the point where blinding explosions are no longer necessary to emanate power.' As an interesting further point Yo La Tengo are one of only four acts to provide a version of the theme music for The Simpsons!

St Vincent

St Vincent appearing at this event

Heralded as "the first truly 21st century guitar hero" by Guitar World magazine, St. Vincent is the stage name of singer and multi-instrumentalist, Annie Clark. Blurring the lines between experimental art and pure pop, she pushes musical boundaries whenever possible while still maintaining accessible pop hooks. Her live shows contain an element of theatrics and quirky dance moves. Whether collaborating with legends like David Byrne or producing her own electro-pop-rock material, her ever-changing image and evolving sound make St. Vincent a true original.

Feist

Feist appearing at this event

Canadian singer-songwriter and sometime band member of Toronto collective Broken Social Scene, Leslie Feist became known in the UK for her single '1234', used in an Apple iPod nano advertising campaign in 2007. Poppy, upbeat and full of soul, her songs are somewhere between the summery sound of Natasha Bedingfield and the sultry chill-out of Smoke City.
