The Aleph Project
'I’ve always associated music with colour, particularly my own. Colour has a large influence on my compositional process.
For my performance at the Lowry I’ll be accompanying my music with a video work I’ve created inspire by the artist Joseph Albers paper cut ’ Interaction of Colour’. He created an experimental methodology for studying colour, based on the idea that only by observing colour in the push and pull of context, can one begin to understand the true nature of colour.
This is an ongoing project which I premiered at the Splice Festival in London I and then performed at the Turner Contemporary in Margate in 2017. Each performance is unique. The film is abstract and the music experimental, a combination of electronics and field recordings. The sound and visual aspects working symbiotically.'
