Tilehurst Amateur Dramatic Society (TADS)

TADS next performance is "Clutching at Straws" a comedy by Geoff Bamber. Lady Tinnion is owner of Tinnion Industries and is looking to pass the day to day running of the business to her niece, Julia. However, Julia has thrown a spanner in the works by announcing her engagement and Lady Tinnion insists on meeting her fiance to be sure that he is suitable and not just a gold-digger. Julia, however, knows that he will not pass muster with her aunt so she enlists the help of some of her old school friends to assist. The brother of one of the friends, who is very much a gigilo, also helps out, with dire consequences. Add to this a neurotic district nurse and a wet behind the ears solicitor this makes for an excellent evening's entertainment.
