40th Anniversary Concert
The incredible Scottish punk-rockers The Rezillos are set to take to the stage at Preston Guild Hall on Thursday 6th September.
This is set to be an incredibly up-tempo gig, with The Rezillos playing through their newer work as well as some of their best-known tracks, such as 'Top of the Pops', and their cover of Fleetwood Mac's 'Somebody's Gonna get their Head Kicked in Tonight'.
The Rezillos will be supported by Department S, a British post-punk band formed in 1980, who took their name from the 1960's TV series of the same name. Their music is mch darker in tone than that of The Rezillos and other punk-rock groups, adopting a slew of avant-garde sensibilities which distanced the post-punk bands from their punk counterparts. Department S add in electronic instrumentation to their work, creating a wholly unpredictable slant on the punk legacy.
