The Blinders

The Blinders appearing at this event

'The Blinders are a three-piece alternative group from Doncaster who are now based in Manchester. The band attempts to be in your face at all times, smelting loud and visceral political punk rock with enigmatic, psychedelic poetry and tones. Their diverse, unique combination of raw music creates the ‘Punkadelic’ sound which forces the trio to give everything they’ve got in their frenzied performances, leaving only blood-stained instruments behind.'

Their sound draws in influences from Radiohead, London Grammar and Four Tet to Coldplay and Talk Talk. "Llike Radiohead after five cans of fizzy pop. Rustic acoustic guitar meets inventive percussion and a brilliantly left-of-centre vocal, melting the past and the future together like alt-J at their best" - DIY Magazine.

"Viciously audacious novices to electric noise we have crafted a merciless assemblage of leering disdain, Erotomania, Genocidal Lament, infanticide, calculated Matricide, funeral dodgers, dystopian angst and surreptitious worshipping at the altar of Bastet to flavour this record. We won't be making you a sandwich motherf*ckers". Their atmospheric, raw, and confrontational live shows deliver a sound reminiscent of early Joy Division, The Gun Club and The Stooges- these sirens will mercilessly lure you onto the rocks…
