Star of Live at the Comedy Store
Host of Celebrities on the Farm (C5) and many many more!
Stephen Bailey is a comedian, presenter, television personality and writer, whose friendly and open brand of gossipy humour has made him one of the UK’s most exciting up-and-coming acts in comedy at the moment.
He is the host of Celebs on the Farm (Channel 5) & Celebs On The Ranch (5Star) and was the resident Agony Uncle on the Zoe Ball show. Stephen has also been on Coronation Street (ITV), The Apprentice: You're Fired (BBC Two), Roast Battle on Comedy Central to name a few and we can’t wait to welcome him to the Lighthouse.
"He's an arch-bitch with a winning smile, everyone's favourite gay best friend. Bailey's confident, funny & suitably rude" - The Reviews Hub
"Comedy Genius" - Fringe Guru
"When it comes to being funny, he's just got it" – Scotsgay
Opening the show is the incredibly talented Ria Lina who’s charm and intelligence allow her to get away with anything from the most audacious routines to subtle wordplay.
Ria is Winner of Best Comedy Show at the Greater Manchester Fringe and Nominated for the Amused Moose Laughter Awards at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and we are excited to bring her to the Lighthouse.
“I have no doubt she will hold her own so easily that she’ll have a hand free to hold someone else’s too.” The Guardian
“Fearless, provocative and very funny” The Scotsman
“Engaging, endearing and eye-opening” Time Out
Also supporting Stephen is Sam Russell, an exciting newer act already making his mark on the comedy circuit. Warm and likeable, his optimistic, upbeat brand of comedy focuses on the hilarity of life’s weirder moments and the challenges of it’s everyday mundanities, to which we can all relate.
Don’t miss this top night out with some of the best acts on the circuit. The night is hosted by local comic Adrienne Coles – see you there!

Stephen Bailey is a comedian, television personality and writer, whose friendly and open brand of gossipy humour has made him one of the most sought after acts in UK comedy today. His sharp, warm and sassy take on life tunes into our day-to-day lives with his razor sharp wit and intelligence as he tackles the art of conversation. With so much social media have we forgotten how to just sit and engage with each other on a human level? Are we still able to express ourselves in more than 140 characters? As well as his live stand up, Stephen is also high in demand for his TV and radio work with regular appearances on ITV's Weekend with Aled Jones and Channel 5’s Celebrity Big Brother's Bit on the Side. He has also appeared on ITV2's Safeword and CelebAbility, ITVBe's Kate's Wardrobe Secrets, W's Celebrity Advice Bureau & Channel 5’s It's Not Me, It's You. ‘He has charisma, he has his own style, he has a wicked line in material and the ability to go off-piste with crowd work that is achingly funny’ (One 4 Review). 'Refreshing to watch, a comic who is so beautifully comfortable in his self that the show he has created is rich with positivity' (The New Current, 2014). "When it comes to being funny, he's just got it." (ScotsGay) "Bailey is an absolute crowdpleaser, getting the room howling with laughter.” (Chortle) Stephen Bailey featured in Ents24's 20 Hardest Working Comedians of 2018 list.
