Live In Concert: Status Quo + Chas & Dave
Britain’s best-loved rockers will undertake the 11 date “Status Quo Live In Concert” UK Winter tour in December 2014. The band are delighted that support at all dates will come from Chas & Dave!
This tour sees Francis Rossi, Rick Parfitt, Andy Bown, John ‘Rhino’ Edwards and new boy Leon Cave bringing back their thunderous live show to the nation’s venues. Packed with hits, both new and old, taken from that unbelievable back catalogue, “Live In Concert” is a series of dates not to be missed.
Rossi and Parfitt are undoubtedly one of British music’s most enduring partnerships and the same is true of the evergreen Chas & Dave. Masters of the quick quip but also with an ear for a catchy tune, and a knack for writing hits, this duo have become part of the social fabric of the nation, in much the same way as Quo themselves. With tracks like ‘Gertcha’, ‘Snooker Loopy’ and ‘Rabbit’ always raising a smile it’s easy to overlook the fact that they’ve played at Glastonbury, perform this year at Sonisphere and once opened for Zeppelin!

Legendary three-chord maestros who were rockin' all over the world for over 35 years. With more Top Of The Pops appearances than any other band, Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt spent in excess of 417 weeks (that's over eight accumulative years!) in the British singles charts. In 1991, the guys were awarded a Brit for their Outstanding Contribution to Music; and Rick and Francis were awarded their long-deserved OBEs in 2010. Rick sadly passed away in December 2016, while Francis continued to tour with the band, performing Quo classics in acoustic style. They now play a mix of both 'Aquostic' shows and a return to their electric plugged-in performances.

In the tradition of The Kinks and the Small Faces and around the same time as Ian Dury and Squeeze, Chas and Dave wrote and recorded exceptionally witty songs about life in London, performed with a strong affection for all things English and reminiscent of many of the great Music Hall artists many years previously. In their case however, the musical accompaniment to their sharply observant material was neither rock nor punk but solid, no-nonsense rock n roll style which had been their background and inspiration!
Chas and Dave disbanded in 2009 following the retirement of Dave Peacock after his wife's death. However, In 2010 the boys announced their return to the live circuit due to huge public support.
