Never miss another 'Professor Brian Cox' show
Professor Brian Cox Live: Professor Brian Cox, Robin Ince
Heading to venues across UK and Ireland in Spring 2017, it’s the hotly anticipated tour by the acclaimed Professor Brian Cox, OBE. The show will take audiences on a dazzling journey through space and time, delving into ‘high science’ and freewheeling on the edges of the known cosmos. Whether an avid science reader or a total novice, Professor Brian Cox Live will test the limits of our knowledge and make highly complex ideas accessible to all.
The tour will find Cox 'freewheeling on the edges of the known cosmos' as he continues to demystify the wonders of the universe after the success of his recent BBC TV documentaries. As part of the show, Cox will be interviewed on stage by Robin Ince with whom he co-presents the Radio 4 series The Infinite Monkey Cage.
Cox, who works on the Atlas experiment at the Large Hadron Collider at Cern in Switzerland, is known for his rapturous yet straightforward accounts of science. He told the Observer earlier this year: 'The idea that scientists are some kind of priests that have unique access to knowledge about nature is nonsense – in many ways I see it as the codified application of common sense. It’s like plumbing'.
Brian is the pop star turned professor. From his former days with D:Ream, things could only get better for him, and they certainly did. The physicist, writer and presenter has co-presented BBC2's 'Wonders Of The Solar System', 'Wonders Of The Universe' and the live astronomy strand 'Stargazing Live' (with Dara O'Briain).
He also co-hosts Radio 4's comedy science programme 'The Infinite Monkey Cage' with Robin Ince. Cox received an OBE in the Queen's 2010 Birthday Honours and he continues to make science interesting.
