30 Years Of Hearsay: Alexander O'Neal

"Doors open 6.30pm and Walter's Bar and Eatery is open all day in the 1st floor foyer.

On Saturday December 9th, 1980s R&B chart-topper Alexander O'Neal returns to The Broadway for the first time since his sell out show in 2006. The concert is all seated and tickets range from £20 to £35. On sale now from The Visitor Information Centre on Bridge Street, Peterborough or book online at www.seetickets.com or www.ticketline.com or indeed www.ticketsolve.com. Tickets will also be available from The Broadway Box Office from Sept 1st, as long as the show has not sold out by that date. Following the show and as it's a Saturday evening, we'll be hosting an aftershow 80’s Soul and Funk Party’ in our stunning Broadway Suite which is adjacent to the main 1200 seat auditorium and within the same Broadway venue complex.

Alexander O'Neal came to prominence in the mid-1980s as a solo artist, releasing fourteen singles that entered the Top 40 charts in the UK during the 1980s and 1990s - songs such as If You Were Here Tonight, Fake, Criticize, The Lovers and (What Can I Say) To Make You Love Me. In 1987 he released the album Hearsay, - the album that lends itself to the title of the UK tour of 2017 – ’30 years of Hearsay’. Hearsay peaked at No. 4 on the UK Albums Chart, eventually certifying as triple platinum, and spawning seven charting singles. (Courtesy Peterborough Telegraph)."
