Wedding Show

Celebrating its 10th Year, Rheged's ever popular Wedding Show returns next Sunday 1 November 2015 with a stunning range of wedding suppliers all under one grass roof and a Fashion Show. The Wedding Show will feature over 30 exhibitors showcasing everything from traditional to quirky, contemporary to chic, with all the latest ideas to set you up for the big day.

Attracting countywide interest from brides and suppliers alike, the show features photographers, floristry, entertainment, décor, cake makers, to hairdressers, venues and much more, with the focus on quality local suppliers.

Cumbria and the Lake District make the perfect backdrop for a memorable wedding, and a number of wedding venues will be represented at the Rheged Wedding Show, such as Beech Hill Hotel, Shap Wells Hotel, Roundthorn Country House, North Lakes Hotel and Broadoaks near Troutbeck. For brides in search of a wedding photographer, they will be spoilt for choice, with stands from local photographers Adrian Randall Photography, Eden Valley Photography, Birkett Photography, Kathryn White Photography, Dawn Matthews and Derwent Photography.

At 1:30pm there will be fashion shows featuring some of the county's leading Bridal Shops. Showing collections for the Bride, Bridesmaids, Mother of the Bride and new this year, the Groom with his best man and ushers. There will be stunning gowns from Carol Roberts Bridal Couture, based in Carlisle who were regional finalists in the 2014 wedding industry awards, Bron-Ja of Wigton and Songbird Bridal Boutique of Keswick.

Lake District business, The Sugar Shed will be showcasing their innovative solution to displaying images. Sourcing beautiful pieces of locally grown and felled Hardwood, The Sugar Shed combine the beauty of the wood with images from your big day to create a unique piece of art with a personal story.

Visitors to the show will be able to make a day of it, with a glass of prosecco on arrival, live music performed by The Carvettii trio and classically-trained pianist Simeon Musgreave with a special screening of Hamlet at 3:00pm starring Benedict Cumberbatch on Rheged’s immersive IMAX style screen.
