Never miss another 'Echo & the Bunnymen' show
Echo & the Bunnymen + Black Submarine
Returning with their first studio album in over four years, Echo & The Bunnymen have announced a long-awaited national UK headline tour.
Famed for hit singles ‘The Cutter’ and ‘The Killing Moon’, along with three Gold certified albums, Echo & The Bunnymen are one of the most seminal British rock acts in modern history. Emerging in the early '80s, their debut album ‘Crocodiles’ received immediate critical praise and continues to be listed by many as one of the greatest albums of all time.
Eleven studio albums later, the band’s loyal and ever growing following is showing no signs of abating. The release of their twelfth full length album ‘Meteorites’ has been highly anticipated amongst fans and critics alike. The tour dates will see Echo & The Bunnymen performing this new material live for the first time, along with performing a fine selection of their classic tracks.
This event takes place at O2 Academy Oxford, which has achieved Bronze Status for disabled access from Attitude Is Everything.
Eighties indie heroes whose majestic songwriting haunted a generation of bedsits and student pads. Re-formed in 1997, and still fronted by the inimitable Ian McCulloch, there's every cause to celebrate the Bunnymen's return.
Their seminal albums 'Crocodiles', 'Heaven Up Here', 'Porcupine', 'Ocean Rain' & 'Echo & The Bunnymen' have all been a major influence for groups such as Coldplay, The Killers and The Flaming Lips whilst later albums 'Evergreen', 'What Are YouGoing To Do With Your Life?', ‘Siberia' & 'Meteorites' demonstrate what an amazing body of work the band have.
