Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club - Oxford
Robert White
Robert is one of a kind. He describes himself as the worlds best aspergers, gay, dyslexic, cross-lateral, web-toed comedian. All this makes stand-up the perfect career choice! Nevertheless, before discovering life a comic he's had an astonishing total of 67 jobs even including a stint as an organ player. Gags aplenty and unique outlook on life make him a superb, consistently funny and inventive comedian. With talent to burn he's also a super skillful musician, weaving catchy and compelling tunes into his hilarious act.
'White takes hyperactive comedy to new heights, brilliant' The Skinny
'He's manic, camp and mildly afflicted, absolutely cracking' Chortle
Steve Day
Steve describes himself as Britain's only deaf comedian, if there are any others he hasn't heard them. For the past eleven years Steve has been performing to huge laughter around the country and abroad, well they tell him the laughter was huge to humour him, he doesn't know either way. Married with five children, a fact nothing to do with not being able to hear the word 'No', Steve has been described as 'warm and witty' by the Scotsman and has recieved many other rave reviews whilst performing shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Chortle.co.uk gave him five stars
in 2007 for Deafy's Island Discs, a show The Sunday Times called 'Funny and Moving'. This show toured the UK in 2008, Steve's third national tour of the uk, and has been performed in several countries in Europe and translated into Italian. No-one knows why. A disabled performer, Steve is more concerned with success in the mainstream comedy circuit, but is happy to 'deaf it up' as necessary if the money is ok and there are sandwiches.
'Revelatory and very funny' - The Guardian
'Warm, funny, frank and thought-provoking' - The Scotsman
Paul Ricketts
Paul is yet another award-winning comic to play Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club. Since 2005 he's been entertaining audiences across the UK and beyond with his own mix of sharp observations about life with cultural and satirical subjects intermingled with strange tales of ordinary madness. Sometimes silly, serious or surreal, sometimes autobiographical, political or near the knuckle – but always hilarious!
“Really funny” BBC
Plus
Damion Larkin
Damion will often improvise his entire set to hilarious effect. There are no genuine comparisons to this man. He is a versatile and creative comedian who always leaves audiences wanting more.
“Industrious in rotating his material…which is warmly and intelligently told” Chortle
'One of the country’s top new acts” BBC (this was years ago so now he's just one of the countrys comedians! haha)
