Laura Van Hulle Dance Theatre
an empowering interpretation of the female existence…

Contemporary dance and live music synchronises in a fearless evocative piece. In Chinese philosophy yin and yang describe how opposite forces are interdependent and need each other to co-exist. Performed by four female artists, Yin reflects upon these universal symbols, drawing inspiration from the natural life cycle and lived experiences. Highly visual, captivating choreography, haunting vocals, piano, baroque and sound design subtly cross-over, playfully questioning society’s perceptions of sexuality and power.
