The Stumbling Block

What is a stumbling block? – physical, emotional, psychological, intellectual, societal, technological, evolutionary. How do we pick ourselves up and help one another?

The Stumbling Block is a dance theatre performance piece with live music based on the poetry cycle by acclaimed poet, sculptor, performance artist and novelist Brian Catling. A tight and rigorous piece with two dancers and two drummers, conducted by the composer of the work Gary Lloyd, choreographed by Bettina Carpi, and featuring multiple voices “on tape” the work explores the issues we have all been facing since a certain referendum three years ago.
