Comedy Writing Skills Online Course

It's back! Current BAFTA nommed, TV writer Meryl O'Rourke's lauded Comedy Writing course.

Unlock inspiration, destroy writer's block; Meryl has taught and worked with stand ups, cabaret artistes, playwrights, novellists, directors, bloggers, motivational speakers - 5PM to 7:15PM from the 16/6/20... it's 8 weeks (weekly).

Course is usually 3 hours/6 weeks, but I've made the time shorter to address Zoom attention lag, so added 2 weeks so it's still the full course.

These are drop in sessions where you observe the class w/o participation.

Using practical exercises, discussion and real life examples - Meryl will help you find YOUR funny and hand you the tools to be a productive joke writer.

How to unlock original angles, how to tighten up a quick hitting gag - but moreover- how to explore different ways of working that make YOU more inspired and energised - you may be surprised what helps- after all, TS Eliot used to paint his face green to work!

Meryl assesses the needs of her class at week one, so further weeks are slanted to the needs of that group - this is NOT one size fits all.

Time in class is spent writing, discussing, presenting, and trying new tricks to unlock creativity. Minimum time watching clips, you get an email of clips once a week along with your homework!
