This event has been and gone.
This year, the star-studded comedy benefit for Royal Trinity Hospice and St George’s Hospital Charitable Trust will move online – for one exclusive week.
Sadly, the live Comedy Store event cannot take place this year. But the good news? Organisers Stephen K Amos and
Jo Caulfield still want to raise much-needed funds for Royal Trinity Hospice and St George’s Hospital Charitable Trust, and this will be done by streaming a compilation of the two previous live shows.
The compilation features amazing stars from the last couple of sold-out performances, some of the UK’s biggest comedy names including Graham Norton, John Bishop, Tom Allen, Joe Lycett, Zoe Lyons, Ninia Benjamin, Al Murray, Omid Djalili, Kerry Godliman and, of course, the instigators Stephen and Jo.
Recorded live at London’s Comedy Store, the screening period will be Friday 4th - Saturday 12th December – for £10 a pop. No downloads will be available.
Please note that the artists appearing may be subject to change.
Please note: All live stream events are subject to change. Not all events listed are live performances by the artist - they also include archived concerts, DJ sets, masterclasses, Q&As and more.
Tom Allen is a comedian, writer and actor. He started as a stand up at the age of 22 and went on to win both So You Think You’re Funny in Edinburgh and the BBC New Comedy Awards in the same year. Since then he has honed his unique style of sharp, acerbic wit and camp, riotous storytelling by performing to audiences all over the UK and around the world. Tom Allen is a wonderfully laconic anecdotalist, and bears an uncanny stage presence to what might be described as the love child of Kenneth Williams and Stephen Fry. He has a genius for digression and an ear for hilariously mundane comments and platitudes. A rare talent, indeed. 'I urge, nay demand – that you see him perform' (Three Weeks) 'Riotous entertainment... Allen is one of life's true eccentrics' (The Guardian) 'Tom Allen makes me reach for old-fashioned words like debonair and urbane. Blessed with crystalline enunciation and velvety, vocal warmth, he sounds as though he was born at the BBC' (Chortle). Tom Allen was #2 in Ents24's Hardest Working Comedians of 2018 list.
