Pam's career started - as did many other artists such as Billy Connolly, Mike Harding, Jasper Carrott, and Max Boyce - in the Folk Clubs of the early 1970s. Since those early days Pam has been making the nation laugh for almost five decades.

Pam will be performing a selection of poems and stories, old and new, from her many books, including her latest, Pam Ayres on Animals.

Recent TV appearances include her own series for Channel 5, The Cotswolds, This Morning, Countdown, and Would I Lie To You.

Pam's Radio career includes six series of Ayres On The Air, many appearances on Just A Minute, and she is honoured to have appeared twice on Desert Island Discs.

Please note: All live stream events are subject to change. Not all events listed are live performances by the artist - they also include archived concerts, DJ sets, masterclasses, Q&As and more.

Pam Ayres

Pam Ayres appearing at this event

Pam Ayres has been a writer, broadcaster, and entertainer for over 40 years, and is one of the few authors who has had books in the Sunday Times bestseller charts in almost every decade since the 1970s. 'Pam Ayres has an incredible way with an audience. She was really one of the funniest comics I've seen, and it's because of her rapport. She just treats the audience like a huge roomful of friends' (The York Press) 'Pam Ayres is a proper poet, whose wistful, funny, and perceptive verse captures both the joy and unfairness of life’ (The Sunday Times).
