Storytelling is something of a Texas tradition. Tall hats and even taller tales are woven into the fabric of The Lone Star State, and singer-songwriter, Jarrod Dickenson can spin a yarn with the best of them. Hailing from Waco but now based in Nashville via Brooklyn, Dickenson spends most of his time on the road, bringing his own particular brand of soulful Americana to a wide variety of music-loving audiences around the globe.
Jarrod has supported legendary artists such as Bonnie Raitt, Don McLean and The Waterboys and he has acquired a formidable and loyal fan base across the globe, including BBC radio hosts Dermot O'Leary, Cerys Matthews, Huey Morgan, Janice Long, Robert Elms and Alex Lester.
"A smokey-toned Texan with a smooth line in Americana-Soul... he's already a big favourite at Radio 2" -Uncut Magazine

Info provided by the Event Organiser
'Texas-born songwriter, Jarrod Dickenson's slightly spooky melodies and lyrics invoke a mid-Western post-war America, when cars ran on leaded gas, television hadn't yet kidnapped the country's imagination, and men wore hats every day. His reflective lyrics, almost like hand-written letters, remind us that human stories of lost love, sudden fortune, and abiding mystery transcend the decades.'
