To mark the 80th anniversary since the outbreak of World War Two, Dr Anselm Heinrich, Senior Lecturer in Theatre Studies at the University of Glasgow, presents this informative talk about the role of theatre during World War Two.

Anselm is a specialist in German and British theatre history, exploring audiences, repertoires, censorship, and propaganda. This talk will specifically look at British theatre and its role from 1939.

The work of the Theatre Royal Nottingham during World War Two has been a specific theme and research explored by our own heritage volunteers. There will be displays of our own archive material from this period to view on the day.

Access to the Dress Circle foyer will be open from 12.15pm, and the bar will be open for refreshments, before the talk at 1pm.

Yarn Bar is also open every day from 11.30am for coffee, brunch and lunch.
