Christmas Party Night: Nathan Caton, Jarlath Regan, Ed Gamble, Sol Bernstein
Please note that the artists appearing may be subject to change.
Nathan is a young black British comic, gigging on both the mainstream and black comedy circuit. His set is highly obsevational, influenced by his culture and upbringing, and also coming from a young person's outlook on life, from the well-known Nigerian traffic warden and the always-disciplining West-Indian mother, to MTV's Pimp my Ride.
'Excellent story-telling skills keep the crowd easily entertained' (Three Weeks).
‘Caton is probably the most exciting young black comic on the scene’ (Fest Magazine).
'Caton's a slick performer with an unbeatable stage attitude and the confident air of someone much more experienced' (Chortle).
'Compelling, well-observed stand-up... He specialises in laidback, on-the-nose material, chopping down fools of all colours, both in day-to-day life and in the media' (The Guardian).
Nathan Caton was named in Ents24's top 20 hardest-working comedians of 2015.

A former advertising executive who turned to comedy when his unmarketable greetings card ideas got him the sack, Irishman Jarleth Regan is a jack of all trades and all round decent fella, the kind you could take home to meet your mum. Raised on the windswept plains of the Curragh of Kildare he dreamed of being a professional basketball player but shelved the ambition due to combination of injuries and on the early on-set of cop on. The NBAs loss has been stand-up comedy's gain.
'A subtle yet sublime helping of observational humour' (The Herald)
'Side-splitting stuff... causes near hysteria in the room' (The Metro)
'A refreshing and hilarious change of pace' (The Independent)
'While he's not as well-known as some Irish stand-ups, he's every bit as talented' (Sunday Express)
'He has a skilful way with words and a playful misplaced logic' (Chortle).

Ed Gamble is a stand-up comedian, writer and actor. Ed has appeared on some of the UK’s most popular TV shows: Mock the Week (BBC Two), Man Down (Channel 4), Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC Two) and Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC Two), as well as presenting radio shows for BBC Radio One and BBC Radio Four. He won the prestigious Chortle award for Best Compere in 2014.
Prior to this, Ed was co-writer and host of the iTunes-topping Peacock and Gamble Podcast as part of his double-act with comedian Ray Peacock. Peacock and Gamble also performed a sell-out UK tour in 2012, which was described as “a triumph of live comedy” (Fringe Guru) and “incessantly hilarious” (The Guardian).
“A hugely likeable performer…an excellent comic” (Paul Whitelaw, The Scotsman).
“A fully-rounded stand-up fiesta” (Brian Donaldson, The List).

After 25 years of semi retirements, playing nursing homes, Sol Bernstein is back where he belongs: in smoky nightclubs performing to drunks. The foul mouthed Jewish pensioner is at the top of his game!
'One part Alf Garnett, two parts Mel Brooks and three parts like nothing you've ever heard' (The Guardian)
'An instantly winning creation' (Evening Standard).
