Brahms Magnificent Four!

In a first for the Nottingham Philharmonic Orchestra, they present a complete cycle of Brahms' four symphonies over one weekend.

The last time such a cycle was performed in Nottingham was by the CBSO under the baton of Sir Simon Rattle. As this was approximately 30 years ago, we believe that a repeat is well overdue!

The four symphonies are a pinnacle of Brahms' career, and of music in the 19th century. They cover a wide range of emotions, from the stern drama of the first through the joy of the second, the nostalgic reflection of the third to the power of the fourth.

A rare event, not to be missed!
