Devon Sproule + Mike O'Neill + Marker Starling

A fantastic folk-pop songwriter with an interest in jazz. Devon Sproule was born on a hippie commune in Ontario in 1982 but moved shortly thereafter to a Virginia-based commune & eco-village called Twin Oaks. She’s lived in the area ever since. Sproule's first UK release (her 3rd US release), 'Keep Your Silver Shined' (2007), proved an indie hit for her Coventry-based label Tin Angel Records, topping year-end lists and landing her a spot on Later...with Jools Holland. 'Sproule's vocal and lyrical beauty is unmatched' (Rolling Stone).

After recording and performing as Mantler for over ten years, Chris A. Cummings changed his band name to Marker Starling in 2012.
His fifth album (and first as Marker Starling) "Rosy Maze" will be released internationally by Tin Angel and Japanese label Windbell in 2013. The new album, three years in the making, is produced by longtime collaborator Zack G, and features the drumming and bass of two veteran Toronto musicians, Jay Anderson and Matt McLaren.
Full of funky, ear-enticing arrangements and scatter-bombed with mind-bending chord changes, the album will also feature strings, horns, vibraphone, accordion, organ, group vocals, and Cummings' own wurlitzer electric piano.
